Ադրբեջանում գտնվող հայ գերիների հարցով անձամբ զբաղվում է ՌԴ նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը: Այս մասին ասել է Ռուսաստանում Հայերի միության նախագահ Արա Աբրահամյանը` հավելելով, որ նախագահին իրենք դիմել են նամակով:
«Մենք պարտավոր ենք այդ հարցով զբաղվել: Հանդիպել եմ նախագահի՝ միջազգային հարցերով օգնականի՝ Յուրի Ուշակովի հետ: Առաջին խնդիրը դա ենք դրել: Նամակ ենք գրել նախագահին, մենք ստացել ենք պատասխան: Այսօր Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության նախագահն անձամբ ինքն է զբաղվում»,- ասել է Աբրահամյանը` նշելով, որ իրենք հետամուտ են լինելու հարցի շուտափույթ լուծմանը:
Նրա խոսքով՝ Պուտինին ուղղված նամակում իրենք մտահոգություն են հայտնել այն հարցի շուրջ, թե ինչպես է Ադրբեջանը կատարում համատեղ հայտարարության՝ ռազմագերիներին առնչվող կետի իրագործումը:
Russian President Vladimir Putin personally deals with the issue of Armenian captives in Azerbaijan. Ara Abrahamyan, President of the Union of Armenians in Russia, said this, adding that they had addressed a letter to the President.
“We have to deal with it. I met with the President’s Assistant for International Affairs Yuri Ushakov. That is the first task we have set. We wrote a letter to the President, we received a response. “Today the President of the Russian Federation is personally involved,” Abrahamyan said, noting that they will pursue a speedy solution to the issue.
According to him, in the letter to Putin, they expressed concern over the implementation of a joint statement on the issue of prisoners of war by Azerbaijan.
